Respecting Diversity

We value the diversity of our employees and seek to collectively manage these talents to deliver innovative products to our customers. We strive to create a working environment that respects individual differences. Bayer has a dedicated Diversity and WorkLife office that provides strategic direction on a variety of valuable programs such as Employee Network Groups, Mentoring, Diversity Training, National Awards submissions such as Working Mother, Corporate and Site Diversity Councils, and the bi-annual employee Diversity Conference.

Bayer is frequently recognized for our efforts in the area of diversity with several national awards.  Most recently, this recognition includes:

► Catalyst Award, Top U.S. Honor for Diversity
► BusinessWeek, "Ideal Undergraduate Employers"
► Fortune, "America's Most Admired Companies"
► Working Mother
      • Top 100 Award (6 times)
      • "20 Best Green Companies for America's Children"
      • Top 10 Companies for Lactation Program

Many Bayer sites feature employee networking organizations/affinity groups and other opportunities to provide a forum for Bayer employees to share experiences, build collaborative, rewarding relationships, and serve as a vehicle for personal development. In addition, these groups work to improve our operations within both the organization and the communities in which we serve. ACCESS (African American), WINGS (Women) and LINKS (New Professionals) are three examples of successful groups.
