Dr. Carin Reuter – Advisor, patents and licenses

Every day
Luckily, my job as an advisor for patents and licenses is not just about the legal aspects. I act as the link between science and the law which means I get to go down to the lab once in a while and have to keep up with our products and what’s going on in R&D. It’s really exciting to experience at first hand how good ideas become good concepts. These in turn become good products which I must protect on behalf of Bayer.

Development
It’s the combination of very different disciplines which makes Bayer such an attractive employer. Personally, the move from science to the law gave me a unique opportunity to broaden my horizons with, amongst other things, an assignment in the USA and qualification as a European patent attorney.
